Our
background in Software Localization, Engineering,
Testing, DTP and Publishing
Warelords was founded in
Dublin (Ireland) early 2008 by Seán Nolan.
Seán has a long background in engineering, accounting, testing and media services dating back to the
mid 1980's. He launched his first IT company, Aslan
Localization Services, in 1998 and was bought out
within 2 years by SDL plc and successfully created and
managed the SDL Technology Centre in Dublin for over 5
years. In 2005 he founded Software Locale Networking
in Dublin to offer both IT and Media Production
Services before creating Warelords and concentrating
on IT services.
Jacques has 20 years experience in Software Engineering & Testing both in Ireland and Asia, including 9 years managing localization operations in China. More recently, he founded Rainbow Network in Beijing, China, which was acquired by The Big Word in 2006.
Both Seán and Jacques come from software testing, engineering and project management backgrounds.
Our highly experienced staff in Ireland and our partners' staff in China
come from localization vendor and software publisher
backgrounds with many years experience of leading,
engineering, testing, publishing and QAing on a wide
variety of projects. From simple website,
documentation, Flash movies and printer driver to
highly complex integrated systems in PC application,
console gaming and educational software our IT
professionals are capable, motivated and conscientious
individuals.
Technical
skills

With a wide selection of tools
skills to draw from our teams can cover most standard
requests without external input regarding software,
help, documentation (printed and software), graphics,
sound, Flash movies and multimedia engineering, testing
and publishing. Our specialists are fully versed in
Catalyst, HTMLQA, HelpQA, Trados, Framemaker, Indesign,
Photoshop, Flash along with the multilanguage operating
systems including all western, CE and double byte
environments.

Our teams have worked very
closely with Popcap, Escient, Microsoft, Intel,
Computer Associates, Canon, HP, Riverdeep, Vivendi
Universal Games, Activision and FileNET, to name a few,
and our staff have at one time or another spent much
time onsite receiving training on specific client
systems and giving localization training to offsite and
offshore partners of our clients.
